The legendary singer of the legendary English band “The Beatles” would have turned 70 if he would have lived on. The search engine Google, have designed a Google Doddle to commemorate the singer. Imagine is not the only a song that describes Lennon, it is a core belief that he believed in discreetly.
John Lennon or John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE is possibly one of the most famous member of the Beatles. He had been an active advocate of peace and is the most social aware among them. His famous songs “Imagine” and “Give Peace a Chance” have inspired people from around the world through generations.
Google is paying tribute to the singer through a Google Doodle that comes with a music player. When clicked, it will play a 32-second clip of the famous song ‘Imagine”. “Imagine” contains a very provocative lyrics and is a very true and honest song. John Lennon, who advocated peace and non-violence, was brutally murdered. Despite his love for peace and humanity he was shot dead on December 8, 1980 at his New York apartment building, where he lived with his wife Yoko Ono.
Mark David Chapman shot Lennon in the back four times right at the entrance to the building. The first Google Doodle was born in 1998 when the search engine's founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page replaced the logo with a picture of a Burning Man. This was done as to notify the world that they are on holiday to the Burning Man Festival. Google’s doodles are always a sign of creativity and displays uniqueness. They are devoted to some of the best creations and traits that celebrates their names in the history in their respective fields.
The legendary singer was born in Liverpool on October 9 1940 and went on to become one of the most famous musicians together with the other three members of the Beatles. After they split he developed a successful solo career.
