2010 New Year's Eve Google Doodle

Google's GMMXIe doodle is promising that the company will not be dropping its sense of celebration in the New Year.


To ring in 2011, the search engine's title has been replaced with four roman numerals, MMXI (2011), surrounded by fireworks.

Opting out of the complex animations it has become known for, the website simply provides a "New Year's Eve!" greeting when you scroll over it.

No doubt Google used a low maintenance doodle for the New Year as it went all out for the holidays.

According to the Wall Street Journal, it took five artists, 6 months and 250 hours to create the Christmas Google doodle for Dec. 23, which remained up for two and a half days.

The drawing covered holiday celebrations across the globe with 17 interactive images making up the logo.

"We want to end the year with a bang," chief doodler Michael Lopez told the newspaper.

Tron Legacy

I just watched "Tron Legacy" in 3D and I really enjoyed the film. The special effect, graphics and sounds are great!

หอศิลป์กรุงไทย ร่วมกับภาควิชาภาพพิมพ์ คณะจิตรกรรมประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร และบมจ.ปตท. จัดแสดง นิทรรศการศิลปะ 35 ภาพพิมพ์ประวัติศาสตร์รัตนโกสินทร์ 9 รัชกาล เพื่อเทิดพระเกียรติและเฉลิมฉลอง ในวโรกาสที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงครองสิริราชย์สมบัติครบ 60 พรรษาในปี พ.ศ.2549 และจะทรงมีพระชนมพรรษาครบ 84 พรรษา ในปี พ.ศ.2554 รวมทั้งเผยแพร่พระเกียรติคุณของราชวงศ์จักรี โดยได้รับพระกรุณาจาก พระเจ้าหลานเธอพระองค์เจ้าสิริภาจุฑาภรณ์ เสด็จเป็นองค์ประธานพิธีเปิด ในวันอังคารที่ 21 ธันวาคม 2553 เวลา16.00 น. ณ หอศิลป์กรุงไทย

ผลงาน 35 ภาพพิมพ์ แสดงให้เห็นถึงพระราชกรณียกิจ และพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระมหากษัตริย์ทุกพระองค์ในราชวงศ์จักรี นับตั้งแต่รัชกาลที่ 1 ถึงรัชกาลที่ 9 ซึ่งได้ทรงพระราชทานให้แก่ประชาชนและชาติบ้านเมือง รวมไปถึงพระราชจริยวัตรอันงดงามที่ฝังลึกอยู่ในจิตใจของพสกนิกรชาวไทยไม่เคยลืมเลือน

ในโอกาสนี้ ขอเรียนเชิญท่านชม นิทรรศการศิลปะ 35 ภาพพิมพ์ประวัติศาสตร์รัตนโกสินทร์ 9 รัชกาล ณ หอศิลป์กรุงไทย ซึ่งเปิดให้เข้าชมในวันจันทร์-ศุกร์ เวลา 09.00-16.00 น. และวันเสาร์ เวลา 10.00-17.00 น. จนถึงวันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2554 และใคร่ขอความอนุเคราะห์จากท่านในการเผยแพร่ข่าวสารไปสู่สาธารณชน และขอขอบคุณอย่างสูงมา ณ โอกาสนี้
