Thank you again :-) I have one question, is there any difference in your way of saying 'I don't know' and 'phom mai saab krab'?
ReplyDeleteThe meaning still the same as "I don't know" but if you say "Phom mai saab", it's more polite. It's better to use this when you first meet someone or talk to those who are older. ผมไม่ทราบครับ

when we use อีกที & อีก

- เดี๋ยว means "awhile" or "a moment"
ReplyDelete- รอ means "to wait"
you can say รอเดี๋ยว which means "wait a moment or wait a minute"
to make it polite, you can say " รอสักครู่"
สักครู่ means the same as "เดี๋ยว"
you may also hear some people say "เดี๋ยวก่อน"
as well which means "wait"
You'd better say "ช่วยพูดชื่อคุณอีกทีได้ไหม"

but อีกที means "one more time" because the word "ที" means "times" or you can use "ครั้ง" in this sentence too.
- "อีก" means again/ more
Ex. ขอข้าวเปล่าอีกหนึ่งจานค่ะ
I want one more plate of rice.
คุณจะมาที่นี่อีกไหม
Will you come here again?
