Soundtracks from "Up in the Air"

It's a pity that this film won nothing from Oscar 2009 but I'm sure that this film is one of many people favourite films. I watched this film not long ago and I like it too. Here I choose three songs I like and post it here.

"This Land is your Land", I've never listened to the song before but once I did. I have to listen to it again sometimes!

People travel million miles and go to many places just to find something they're looking for and want to see. During the way, you learn more thing, know more people and gain experience. Ryan Bingham said he was surrounded by many people everywhere he went to and talked  with them, but does he really know them or they really know him? No matter how far you go somewhere, it seems like everyone has a point of returning ... to their home where there's someone you love and love you wating for your .. always. Sometimes happiness is so close to us that we've never noticed!

And that's the second song I posted here "Goin' Home"  :-)

This Land Is Your Land
(by Sharon Jones)

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York Island,
From the redwood forest to the gulf stream water,
This land was made for you and me.

As I went walking that ribbon of highway
I saw above me that endless skyway,
I saw below me that golden valley
This land was made for you and me.

I roamed and I rambled and I followed my footsteps
O’er the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts,
While all around me a voice was sounding,
This land was made for you and me.

When the sun comes shinning and I was strolling
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
A voice was chanting as the fog was lifting
That land was made for you and me.

Goin' Home
(by Dan Auerbach)

I`ve spent too long away from home
Did all the things i could have done
Gone are the days of endless thrills
I know i`m not the only one

So long i`m goin` goin` home
I saw the streets all ripe with jewels
Balconies and the laundry lines
They tried to make me welcome there
But their streets did not feel like mine
So long i`m goin` goin` home.

I want the sun to hit my face
Through oak trees in the open lot
Forget about the things you want
Be thankful for what all you got.

Taken At All
(by Crosby & Nash)

This is me
Can you take another look
Did I see you looking blindly at your book
Is it all that you thought, that you thought it took
Can it be taken, taken at all

Were you looking for signs along the way
Can you see by your lonely light of day
Is this road really the only way
Can this road be taken, taken at all

We lost it on the highway
Down the dotted line
You were going your way
I was going mine

We lost it on the highway
Things are out of sight
You were going your way
Trying to make a light along the way

Can you see by your lonely light of day
Is this road really the only way
Can this road be taken, taken at all
Can this road be taken, taken at all
